FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: iron-containing material is mixed with magnesium-containing material and limestone at ratio (0.04-0.8):(0.1-8.0): 1. Mix is moistened and ground to fineness of entire amount of mix below 0.1 mm, after which it is agglomerated and sintered in rotary furnace. The latter operation is carried out at 1320- 1500 C for 15-25 min. EFFECT: enabled production of agglomerate with ratio (CaO+MgO)/SiO2>7,>7, which is stable on long-term storage. 2 tbl
