FIELD: measuring equipment, applicable in the devices designed for determination of the moment of reaching of the preset position relative to a certain surface by an object. SUBSTANCE: pulse flux of radiation from a radiator collimated by an optical system is directed to the surface, it is featured by the fact that another flux of pulse radiation from the second radiator non-synchronized in time for the moment of the beginning of radiation with the pulse flux collimated by the second optical system, which is directed to the same surface, after reflection from which both pulse fluxes are focused to the plane of the diaphragm, each pulse flux forms a signal at the photodetector output and the moment of reaching of the preset distance to the surface is judged by the relation of amplitudes. At a variation of the slope of the reflecting surface relative to the object longitudinal axis use is made at least of two identical transceiving channels.
