FIELD: mechanical engineering, grinding workpieces of various materials by means of grinding wheels and cutting fluid. SUBSTANCE: water cutting fluid is supplied to the cutting zone through wedge nozzle during cutting in process and removing major allowance. The cutting fluid has well cooling and washing properties to provide stabilization of contact temperature. At the beginning of dwelling the supply of the cutting fluid is finished and briquette of solid lubrication material is pressed to the worked surface of the workpiece by means of feeding device, due to feeding voltage to the electromagnetic coil of the device. The device is made of detachable housing of rectangular cross-section and is fixed to the nozzle. The part of the solid lubricant briquette contacting with the workpiece surface is heated by means of heating member built into the housing of the device. The solid lubricant briquette is fixed into the sleeve which receives screwed spring-loaded rod of the device. When finishing run of grinding the electromagnetic coil is deenergized and the solid lubricant briquette is brought into initial position by means of the spring.
