FIELD: machine engineering, namely grinding metallic parts or blanks of different materials with use of grinding wheels and cutting fluids. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of supplying aqueous cutting fluid to grinding zone at stages of in-feed and removing allowance; feeding briquette of grease material at ironing stage. Cutting fluid having good cooling and washing properties is fed by sprinkling in order to stabilize contact temperature at beginning in-feed. During period necessary for achieving temperature of ground surface sufficient for melting grease with optimal consumption before ironing, supply of cutting fluid is interrupted. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of grinding part with predetermined quality. 3 dwg
