FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method is used for grinding of blanks made of different materials. When grinding parts, cutting-in and dwelling steps are performed without delivery of cutting fluid, which makes it possible to promptly obtain optimal temperature, to reduce stress of blank surface layer and to provide for preset quality of surface. During steps of coarse and finish grinding water cutting fluid possessing effective washing and cooling properties is fed to machining zone. Grinding in all steps is performed by means of wheel provided with radial channels or recesses or axial through channels filled with solid or semisolid lubricant. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 dwg
