FIELD: measurement technology; aerostation; filling aerostats, air balloons and airships. SUBSTANCE: method is based on direct measurements of state of gas and determination of lift force of discharged gas taking into account compressibility of gas depending on pressure and temperature through comparison of initial mass of gas with its remaining mass in closed reservoir. Proposed method is realization with the aid of device provided with pressure and temperature sensors mounted in closed reservoir, two-channel analog-to-digital converter, permanent memory lift force computer, subtracter, alphanumeric indicator, comparator and reference-input unit in which the following data are introduced: type of gas, volume of closed reservoir and required lift force.
