FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for quantitative assessment of remains (mass) of a working substance (WS) - gas in reservoirs of a working system of naturally aspirated type, in particular - for quantitative assessment of WS mass in condition of saturated steam. The gas mass detector comprises sensors of temperature and pressure and an electronic device for processing of information from these sensors. Also the device comprises an intake reservoir of permanent volume, into which a gas sample is taken from the reservoir of the working system, and an instrumental reservoir, the common volume of which with the intake reservoir in case of communication of reservoirs puts gas in ideal condition. The device also comprises three valve mechanisms: at the inlet to the intake reservoir; in the transition from the intake reservoir into the instrumental reservoir; at the outlet from the instrumental reservoir.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of detection of WS remains at all stages of working reservoir operation.
