METHOD FOR DETERMINING MICROBIAL INSEMINATION OF BILE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking bile sample in the amount of 10 ml, centrifuging it during 10 min. Thin smears are prepared from the centrifuged bile and stained with 1% aqueous solution of methylene blue during 1 min, holding glass in strictly horizontal position. Then examination with microscope is carried out and microbial bile insemination degree is quantitatively evaluated. Few bacteria in vision field being found, low insemination degree is considered to be the case. Less than 25 bacterial bodies being visible, moderate one is considered to be the case. Less than 50 bacterial bodies being visible, medium degree is considered to be the case. More than 50 bacterial bodies being visible, high degree is considered to be the case. EFFECT: high reliability and accuracy of early stage inflammatory disease diagnosis.
