TONGUE ROOT MICROBIOME AS PROGNOSTIC MODEL OF DISBIOTIC STATE OF GENITAL TRACT IN PREGNANT WOMEN Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2636623 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method for tongue root microbiome study as a prognostic model of the disbiotic state of the genital tract in pregnant women is implemented as follows. Biomaterial is collected from the tongue surface not earlier than an hour after eating and hygienic procedures. A wide zig-zag surface smear is made across the mucous membrane along the width and length of the middle third (back) and posterior third (root) of the tongue by a sterile rayon swab on a plastic probe, while the swab is turned clockwise during sampling. Inoculation is made on 5% blood agar and the same swab is used to immediately make the primary sector inoculation made by jerky strokes within the sector boundaries, to 10-12 strokes per ј Petri dish with a diameter of 100 mm, on Uriselekt 4 media, mannitol salt agar, enterococci agar, Endo and Saburo. Primary inoculations are cultivated in a thermostat at a temperature of 35°C. Given that from one to four species of conditionally pathogenic microorganisms are emitted both from the genital tract, and the oral cavity in case of disbiosis, and that a convergence of cultures in terms of titer and species reaches 95%, the result of the bacteriological study of tongue root microbiome predicts disbiosis of the genital tract of a pregnant woman and its severity, depending on the number of selected crops of conditional pathogens and their contamination on mucous membranes.

EFFECT: possibility of mediated diagnosis of the disbiotic state of the genital tract in pregnant women, absence of psychogenic reactions, stress in pregnant women related to the claimed method; results obtaining within 2-3 days.
