FIELD: transport engineering; internal combustion engines; ignition systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed ignition coil has central channel which starts from connecting section, passes through core of coil and terminates in bowl- shaped bottom part of coil inner space. Potting resin poured into channel gets to closed bottom part where it changes its direction to opposite one and rises back to connecting section uniformly filling all clearances of coil. Design of proposed coil provides technologically optimum filling of potting resin into inner space of stem coil. EFFECT: reduced time taken for filling in coil in combination with high reliability owing to elimination of air bubbles in potting resin. 6 cl, 1 dwg
