FIELD: excimer laser unstable resonators. SUBSTANCE: resonator has two mirrors of which one is made in the form of diffraction grating of definite curvature radius. Mirror-to-mirror distance is chosen from equation L = (R* = r)/2, where R* is curvature radius of one of mirrors; r is curvature radius of other mirror. R* selection is conditioned by diffraction of chosen other-than-zero order on concave diffraction grating of radius R. EFFECT: enhanced power efficiency and stability to mechanical impacts; facilitated adjustment. 3 cl, 2 dwg
