FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: laser contains laser active medium, exit cavity mirror, limiting diaphragm, deflecting mirror, focusing lens and SBS mirror. The exit mirror and lens convexity form unstable feedback resonator of magnification M=40-60. The focusing lens focuses amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) of output pulse of unstable resonator to SBS mirror through the rotary mirror so that ASE is not reflected back to the active medium, and output pulse front of the unstable resonator is reflected to the active medium only.
EFFECT: laser pulse shaping in subpicosecond duration range of small divergence angle within the same laser module without preshaping pumping beam in driving generator.
