Invention proposes the pharmaceutical composition with an antidiabetic effect containing effective dose of gliclazide and saccharide, microcrystalline cellulose, starch, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, talc and stearate used as special additions. Pharmaceutical composition is made as tablets. Invention describes method of preparing the pharmaceutical composition including mixing powders of active component with saccharide, microcrystalline cellulose and starch, moistening mixture with 3-% solution of hydroxypropylmethyl-cellulose followed by granulation, drying of moist granulate, dry granulation, powdering mass with a mixture consisting of stearate, talc and starch and tabletting in tablet machine.
