FIELD: shipbuilding; building of three-hulled ships with inter-hull hydrofoils. SUBSTANCE: trimaran has center and side hulls. Shipboard power plants and steering gears are arranged in all three hulls. Trimaran is provided with at least two hydrofoils and units for forming air interlayer between fore portion of ship and water medium. These units are located in fore portions and along sides and along sides of three hulls. Incidence of inter-hull hydrofoils ranges from 10 to 170 deg. Angle of mounting inter-hull attachments ranges from 10 to 90 deg. EFFECT: increased rigidly of attachments of hulls; enhanced hydrodynamic properties and seaworthiness of trimaran; possibility of creating additional lift force; enhanced economical efficiency. 2 cl, 4 dwg
