FIELD: shipbuilding; building hydrofoil trimarans at adjustable hydrodynamic characteristics of hulls by means of air interlayers (bubbles). SUBSTANCE: method consists in positioning at least two hydrofoils between center and side hulls and in changing angle of attack. Units for forming air interlayer between hulls and water medium are located along sides and in fore portions of hulls. Tips of inter-hull hydrofoils are secured in devices located in hull sides; inter-hull hydrofoils are rotatable. Air interlayer is formed along fore parts and side of hulls. Buoyant force is compensated for by lift force of hydrofoils. EFFECT: possibility of creating additional adjustable lift force; enhanced hydrodynamic properties and seaworthiness; enhanced economical efficiency. 4 dwg
