FIELD: heat power industry, particularly, thermal power stations and boiler plants. SUBSTANCE: method comprises desorbing carbon dioxide from water when water being treated is contacted with atmospheric air. In this case, water being treated is fed into decarbonizer under excessive pressure, and atmospheric air is ejected into decarbonizer by steam of water being treated. Pressure of water supplied into decarbonizer is regulated according to value of preset concentration of free carbon dioxide in decarbonized water. EFFECT: greater efficiency and improved quality due to creation of optimum pressure of original water and elimination of decarbonization modes using excessive or insufficient pressure of water being fed into decarbonizer. 1 dwg
