FIELD: valve engineering, applicable for shut-off of return flows, for example, in compressors operating in metallurgical, chemical and petrochemical industries. SUBSTANCE: check valve has a body, shut-off plate and a boss located on the shaft through a lever. The shaft is installed in bearings for periodic reciprocating with the aid of a drive. A segmental groove is made in the point of location of the boss on the shaft, or in it, or in the boss. A key is freely positioned in the groove. The key is fastened either in the boss or on the shaft for provision of shaft reciprocating within the full stroke of the valve without changing the position of the shut-off plate. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of compressor protection against the return flow of gas due to reduced seizing of the check valve. 1 cl, 4 dwg
