FIELD: synthetic rubber. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of synthesis of halogenated butylrubber and can be used in petrochemical industry. Method of synthesis halogenated butyl-rubber is carried out by copolymerization of isobutylene with diene hydrocarbon in the presence of catalyst by treatment of butylrubber granules or grains with inert hydrocarbon solvent followed by halogenation of butylrubber with halogenating agent at temperature from 0 C to 100 C, neutralization of acid products reaction, washing out from salts formed, degasation, isolation and drying rubber. Method involves feeding an inert solvent in the process of treatment of granules or grains taken in the amount of 5-15% of butylrubber mass followed by halogenation, mixing with water, neutralization, concentrating, washing out with water and feeding to steaming from hydrocarbons and drying. Method involves preliminary treatment with halogenating agent up to 10-50% degree of halogenation and use of chlorine, bromine, iodine, fluorine or their mixtures as halogenating agents.
