FIELD: rubber industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of synthetic rubbers used in fabrication of general mechanical rubber products, automotive inner tubes and tires. Butyl rubber is obtained via copolymerization of isobutylene with isoprene supplied in the form of hydrocarbon blend to in-parallel arranged reactors in presence of catalyst in diluent medium - organochlorine compound selected from chloromethane, dichloromethane, chloroethane, and 1,2-dichloroethane, plus hydrocarbon solvent (isopentane, pentane, neopentane, or mixtures thereof) followed by deactivation of catalyst, homogenizing, stabilization of polymer with antioxidant, degassing if rubber, concentrating thus obtained rubber crumb and drying thereof. Organochlorine compound is introduced in amount corresponding to 20-50 of the weight of hydrocarbon blend and copolymerization is conducted in optimal condition range with 25-40% of isobutylene content in hydrocarbon blend, dissolved and/or dispersed depending on content of organochlorine compound, weight ratio of the latter to isobutylene ranging between 0.6:1.0 and 1.8:1.0. Isoprene is supplied to blending stage in amount 2.5-3.5% of the weight of isobutylene.
EFFECT: increased productivity, reduced power consumption and expenses, and improved quality of rubber.
