FIELD: rocket engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed pyrotechnic train-type solid propellant charge ignition system has housing with perforated side and end face surfaces with stopper, initiation device, additional and main primer charges arranged in tandem. Head section-booster is connected with output end face of housing and is made in form of cup provided with perforations on output end face surface. Cup accommodates grain made of exothermic hydrogen-generating composition with one or several channels coinciding with perforations on output end face of cup. Additional primer charge is installed in stopper and is made in form of grain of exothermic hydrogen- generating composition with one axial or several channels and is provided with initial device. Inner surfaces of cup of head section - booster and stopper are provided with flexible heat protective coating. EFFECT: provision of reliable ignition of solid-propellant charge of rocket engine with elongated channels, and monotony of process of graining stationary mode of operation of rocket engine. 12 cl, 5 dwg
