SUBSTANCE: electrode type water heater includes housing with feed and discharge branch pipes, system of electrodes in the form of coaxial cylinders (inner cylinder is separated along generatrix by parts whose number is equal to that of phases), shaft mounted in cavity of inner cylinder and shutters made of dielectric material and secured by their one end to shaft for closing space between outer cylinder and parts of inner cylinder at rotation of shaft. Feed and discharge branch pipes are made of insulation material and they have predetermined length values.
