FIELD: thermal and heat-transfer engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing heating element in the environment of heat-accumulating material both isolated in their volume from surrounding atmosphere with heat-transfer surface. Gaseous substance is used as heat-accumulating material. Total effective heat transfer is enhanced by enlarging heat-transfer surface of heating element and volume of heat-accumulating material. Heating is effected when working temperature of heating-element surface and that of heat-transfer surface of heating device are equal. Device has casing divided into two intercommunicating chambers with inlet and outlet holes, one being external chamber and other, internal one. The latter accommodates at least one heating device in the form of one air-filled isolated space. Fan is placed on outlet hole of casing. Device functions as heat sink for convective heat transfer and at the same time as heat shield. EFFECT: improved efficiency of conversion. 15 cl, 3 dwg, 2 tbl
