FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has carrier gas supplying line, carrier gas volumetric rate sensor, liquid anesthetic vessel, anesthetic evaporation chamber, device for setting volumetric concentration of anesthetic vapors in liquid-vapor mixture. Apparatus is further equipped with sealed piston, step-type engine, actuating mechanism and computer. Output of gas carrier volumetric rate sensor is connected to computer first input, and output of device for setting volumetric concentration of anesthetic vapors in liquid-vapor mixture is connected to computer second input. Output of computer is connected to step-type engine whose output shaft is connected through actuating mechanism to sealed piston located in liquid anesthetic cylinder. Apparatus is used for changing patient's consciousness state. EFFECT: increased efficiency by precise dosage of anesthetic vapors. 3 cl, 1 dwg
