FIELD: driving marine propellers working under conditions of abruptly changing external moment of resistance. SUBSTANCE: marine power plant has main engine connected with carrier of planetary reduction gear whose epicycle is connected with propeller and sun gear is connected with low-power adjusting electrical machine whose armature winding is connected to second electrical machine connected with main engine shaft; sun gear and epicycle of planetary reduction gear are rigidly connected by means of locking clutch. Two current sensors connected in series are connected to armature winding and two potentiometers are connected in parallel to these sensors. Output of first potentiometer is connected via first adjustable resistor tom input of additional excitation winding of second electrical machine whose output is connected via second adjustable resistor to output of second potentiometer. Input and output of additional excitation winding are connected via respective DC voltage sources to input of diodes whose outputs are connected with first inputs of potentiometers. Fixed-pitch propeller is connected with tachogenerator whose output is connected with central governor mounted on main engine. EFFECT: reduced rotational speed of propeller at considerable increased or reduction of external resistance moment. 1 dwg
