FIELD: inorganic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of alkaline metal phosphates, in part, potassium dihydrogen phosphate used in food, medicinal and microbiological industries. Method of production of potassium dihydrogen phosphate involves neutralization of phosphoric acid with potassium hydroxide or potassium carbonate in the parent molar ratio K2O/P2O5 = (1.18-1.5): 1, filtration of saturated solution to remove impurities and keeping in crystallizer for 20-30 min. Then the saturated solution is cooled to 20-30 C, phosphoric acid is added to the ratio K2O/P2O5 = (1.05-1.1): 1 followed by cooling to 15-25 C and separation of commercial product by centrifugation. EFFECT: increased yield of ready product, large crystals of potassium dihydrogen phosphate. 1 tbl
