FIELD: underwater acoustics. SUBSTANCE: invention can find use in stations covering underwater situation, predominantly in helicopter-borne and low-displacement vessel sonars. Receiving antenna of surveillance sonar has receiving elements omnidirectional in horizontal plane, grouped in pairs with same horizontal wave size that provides for formation of cardioid radiation patterns. Elements are mounted in moving apart structure that can be collapsed from operational position to transportation position and back. Elements are so configured that centers of pairs of receiving elements are positioned in two mutually perpendicular vertical planes and line linking elements of each pair is perpendicular to plane on which center of this pair is located. Total number of pairs is evenly distributed between specified planes and structure of antenna in operational position is sound-penetrable. EFFECT: improved spatial selectivity with preservation of dimensions of antenna, reduction of its mass and simplification of design. 1 cl, 11 dwg
