FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustic signal detection and can be used for small-sized carriers, including underwater vehicles, buoys and stationary bottom sonar stations. The direction finder antenna is a cylinder having a diameter equal to a quarter of the wavelength of the received signal. There are N omnidirectional receivers around the circumference of the cylinder. In the device for each pair of hydroacoustic receivers spaced around the circumference of 180°, with the modified scheme of formation and processing, two radiation patterns (RP) of the reverse cardioid type are formed, turned by maxima by 180°. In this case, for each formed pattern, the back field is minimal. The antenna as a whole forms a static fan of N RPs, each of which has the shape of a reverse cardioid.
EFFECT: significant reduction in the dimensions of the cylindrical antenna, enabling to form a static fan of RPs with an arbitrary field of view, up to 360° without shielding of receivers.
