FIELD: railway transport; mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of lubrication of railway vehicle wheel flanges and can be used also in devices with rotary and reciprocating mechanisms for delivering lubricating materials to friction surfaces. Proposed method of lubrication of wheel flanges comes to pressing of solid lubricating material in form of disk to working surface of wheel flange. Intensity of delivery of lubricant is adjusted by placing weights on end face surface of flange. Liquid material is fed zone of friction of disk and flange. Intensity of delivery of liquid material is provided by placing the material inside disk housing and aligning channels made in outer surface and housing of disk with channels made in bushing found in disk housing and flexible coupled with disk housing. EFFECT: reduced friction forces at wheel flange-rail contact and increased service life of wheel flanges of railway vehicles. 2 cl, 2 dwg
