FIELD: leather industry. SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to facing leather from pig stock. Method involves applying pigmented primer containing pigment concentrate, polyurethane dispersion, wax emulsion, and water. Skin is then pressed and recovered with pigmented priming, after which decorative layer is applied. The latter contains aqueous nitrocellulose varnish, pigment paste based on a metal from the secondary subgroup of the 1st group, and water. Skin is further subjected to second pressing, reapplying decorative layer, and one more pressing. EFFECT: improved quality of leather and increased assortment of facing leathers. 1 tbl, 5 ex
