DEVICE FOR CREATING ASCENDING RECTAL ANASTOMOSIS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves making subtotal distal colectomy. Ascending colon is mobilized and turned counterclockwise in frontal plane. Seromuscular membrane of the colon and rectum is circularly cut 10-15 mm apart from the mechanical suture line put in over the resected colon end. 5-6 interrupted seromuscular sutures are put-in in the area of posterior semicircle of the colon and rectum. Submucous membrane layers of the posterior semicircle of the colon and rectum are sutured in the area of the anastomosis angles. Then, submucous membranes of the posterior and anterior anastomosis semicircle are sutured. Stitch size is equal to 3-4 mm, step size is equal to 3-4 mm. The stitches are placed over the rectum at an angle of 45 deg. Appendectomy is carried out. Bauginoplasty is applied. EFFECT: improved suture quality; enhanced effectiveness of ileocecal region members dysfunction correction. 6 dwg
