FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling of compensation holes and breakage of rock onto them with final formation of mine working cross-section and distinguishes by the fact that working is formed in three stages: first, primary compensation hollow of working is formed by drilling of at least one pilot hole with radius where η is conversion factor of working cross-section (η= 0.4 for formed working section up to 12-16 sq. m); k is expansion factor of muck (k=1.2-1.6); then, primary compensation hollow is expanded with radium where R is radius of formed working of round cross-section (R=H/2 for trapezoidal or rectangular working section, where H is working height, m); at the third stage, working is formed with final rated section by drilling and blasting with breakage of rock mass on formed compensation space. Invention provides for reduction of rock pressure on stability of mine workings and increase of efficiency of working driving under conditions of high stressed state of rock mass in mining of thin deposits of hard rocks by shearer. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method. 3 cl, 1 dwg
