FIELD: ammunition technique, namely methods for making steel parts of high-explosive bombs, for example bodies, adaptors, bottoms and so on. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of hot plastic deformation, mechanical working and hot reduction; performing additional heat treatment of steel billet after hot plastic deformation such as recrystallization -diffusion annealing of billet at heating it in furnace until temperature higher than austenite conversion by 200-300 C; soaking at such temperature for 0.5- 3.0 hours; cooling together with furnace at rate 30-150 C/hour until 600-650 C and further cooling it in air at non-controlled rate until environmental temperature. Blanks are made of high-carbon eutectoid and hypereutectoid manganese-silicon steels. EFFECT: high resistance of missile bodies against shock loads, high-quality fragment spectrum of missiles, enhanced technological effectiveness of method. 4 cl, 7 dwg, 3 tbl
