FIELD: storage batteries for portable defibrillators. SUBSTANCE: battery power supply has pawl deflecting in protruding position. Placing battery in battery compartment of defibrillator automatically locks pawl in slot for securing battery within its compartment. Ribs are provided on battery compartment bottom to reduce friction between battery and this bottom when battery is installed in defibrillator. Rib is also provided over perimeter on top part of battery to reduce friction between battery power supply and inner upper surface of battery compartment. Right-hand wall is deflecting from vertical line to form trapezoidal-section battery. Such asymmetric cross-sectional area prevents incorrect installation of battery into battery compartment.
