FIELD: manufacture of chemical power supplies including recovery of spent ones. SUBSTANCE: method involves extraction of cathode material from recovered and fully discharged primary current source of lithium/manganese dioxide system, its calcination for at least 2 h to distill electrolyte followed by leaching by acidified water. Material treated in this way is used as substitute of expensive lithium-bearing manganese dioxide. EFFECT: reduced manufacturing cost. 2 cl
