FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has cardboard tube which catch end has end rolled outward that is produced by supplying humidity to the catch end which diameter is less than 25 mm. Forming instrument is heated approximately to 38- 177 C, rotating cardboard tube with 50-1000 rpm frequency and bringing the tube catch end in engagement with the forming instrument for about 0.2-5 s. This method enables one to roll outward the cardboard tube catch end with surface rounded on radius being produced on the external side of the applicator device cardboard tube catch end. The so produced tampon application device acquires smooth continuous toroidal surface. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in using finger catch tampon applicator. 21 cl, 7 dwg
