FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed axial piston engine can be used as drive in mining machines, such as loading-and-carrying machines, drilling rigs, winches, heading machines and others. Engine has housing with cylindrical spaces made in parallel with rotor axis. Double-acting pistons engaging with wavy cam of rotor are placed in these spaces. System of channels and ports made in rotor provides intake (exhaust) of compressed air into cylinder chambers. Rotor ports are displaced in opposite directions providing uniform opening and closing of chambers of cylindrical paces which communicate with atmosphere through system of drain holes in housing at final section of piston travel when working stroke is executed, and at initial section when pistons move backwards. Displacement of rotor ports for delivery f compressed gas into working chambers of cylindrical spaces is made to provided stopping of compressed air delivery into chamber at angular displacement of rotor through 50 degrees relative to piston top dead center. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of engine, increased power output without change of overall dimensions, reduced noise level and labor input in manufacture. 9 dwg
