FIELD: transmission of high-power optical radiation. SUBSTANCE: fiber-optical cable has fiber with central core and surrounding shell. At least one end of fiber carries cooling aid to discharge optical power which includes space with flowing cooling agent that surrounds surface of end of fiber. Incident optical radiation hits exterior of fiber, passes through cooling agent, preferably such liquid cooling agent as water, where it is absorbed at least partially. One of surfaces as minimum of limiting walls of space does not absorb incident radiation as other surfaces of limiting walls are placed for absorption of such radiation which is still present or transmitted through cooling agent.
