FIELD: fire-extinguishing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire- extinguishing compositions called ozone-safe because of their inertness with respect to ozone layer degradation. Composition contains 1.0 to 2.7 or 25.7 to 99.0% trifluoromethane and 1.0 to 33.9 or 89.0 to 99.0% iodine-containing C1-C2-fluorocarbons. The latter can be mixed with perfluoropropane and perfluorobutane at volume ratio from 1:100 to 100:1. EFFECT: imparted ozone layer inertness. 3 cl, 1 tbl
