FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention provides material consisting of alternated cellular metal and dense metal layers, wherein thickness of layers separating cellular metal layers equals (0.5-1.5)hcl, hcl denoting average thickness of walls of cellular metal cells (mm). Summary thickness of cellular metal layers achieves at least 70-95% of the total thickness of finished material. Cellular metal layers can be made of alloys based on aluminum, copper, tin, zinc, lead, nickel, or iron as well as of aluminum composites reinforced by refractory compound particles. Material can further contain at least one outside layer made from corrosion-resistant plastic and dense metal selected from group including low-alloy aluminum-, titanium-, and nickel-based alloys, and also austenite-type steels. A layer stronger and more rigid than aforementioned outside layer can additionally be disposed between one of the outer layers and a cellular metal layer, said intermediate layer being made from high-length composite based on aluminum and titanium alloys.
