FIELD: technique for vacuumelectric arc processing of metals, namely production of laminate bands. SUBSTANCE: method of making laminate bands comprises steps of rolling pack of different metal strips in vacuum; preliminarily cleaning initial strips by means of cathode spots of vacuum electric arc excited between bands and graphite anodes. Apparatus for performing the method includes graphite anodes arranged near bands in front of rolling rolls. In variant of invention apparatus includes unit for applying intermediate layer between anodes and rolling rolls.
