FIELD: control over stability of bench marks meant to take project marks of points to nature, control over settlement of structures, engineering and geodetic practice. SUBSTANCE: stability of position of basic reference point is evaluated by results of control over cluster of three auxiliary reference points similar in design and conditions of deposition so arranged that their elevation above basic reference point is measured from one station with equality of arms and distance from ground surface to directional ray not less than 0.3 m. Stability of basic reference point is evaluated by way of comparison of elevations of auxiliary reference points above basic reference point. If elevation of each auxiliary point above basic reference point is repeated from cycle to cycle it demonstrates stability of auxiliary reference points. In this case basic reference point experiences vertical movement of value equal to average excess in given cycle taken with opposite sign. EFFECT: raised quality of geodetic measurement by way of exclusion of environmental factors and control errors influencing stability of position of reference point from measurement. 5 dwg, 1 tbl
