FIELD: geodesy, determination of marks of geodetic beacons, establishment of sinking of structures, vertical displacement of Earth's crust and stability of foundations of technological equipment. SUBSTANCE: procedure includes sequential setting of pair of geodetic leveling rods along points of leveling line between adjacent stations of geodetic level installation. Geodetic level is brought to working position, geodetic leveling rods are used to execute reading from two adjacent stations of geodetic level installation. Angle characterizing key condition of geodetic level is found with use of corresponding formula per each pair of adjacent station of geodetic level installation. Values of readings are corrected and difference in level between two points is correspondingly computed per each geodetic leveling rod. In addition non-corrected readings are utilized to compute difference in level between horizons of instrument at adjacent stations by means of corresponding formula. Average of three differences in level obtained correspondingly by first and second geodetic level rods and by horizons of instrument is taken as final difference in level along section of leveling line. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of obtained differences in level. 2 dwg
