FIELD: measurement technology, ultrasonic electroacoustic measurement. SUBSTANCE: acoustic field is formed in controlled tank with the use of electroacoustic radiators. Radiators are vertically arranged on outer surface of sound conducting walls of tanks with required discreteness. Level of medium is controlled by change of phase shift between voltage supplied to adjacent radiators and current consumed by them. Value of level is found as boundary between two adjacent radiators which work above and beneath level of medium. EFFECT: increased noise immunity of method by way of exclusion of dependence of results of control on parameters of medium. 1 dwg
