FIELD: methods and devices for foam jet formation. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of foaming solution jet onto net in foam generator body, production of jet of medium-expansion foam, supply of foaming solution onto net from one or several nozzles under pressure in front of nozzles of 0.4-1.2 MPa. Nozzles are located from net at distance determined by formula , where A is distance from center of nozzles or some other means of jet formation to net, m; Rs is radial size of net, m; tgα/2 - is tangent of half of jet opening angle of foaming solution; α - is jet opening angle of foaming solution at outlet of nozzle or some other means of formation of directed jet. Device for formation of jet of medium- expansion, high-range foam has means for formation of foaming solution jet, foam generator body with net accommodated in it. Foam generator body is made in form of hollow cylinder or two or more semicylinders connected with each other by planes. In this case, secured to foam generator body on the side of supply of foaming solution, is one or more nozzles or some other means of jet formation. Net is secured inside body of foam generator at foam output. Foam generator body length equals 0.3 to 1.5 distances from means of jet formation of foaming solution to net. Means of formation of foaming solution directed jet is made in form of nozzle or nozzles or some other means of formation of directed jet or jets of foaming solution. Nozzle or nozzles are located at distance from net determined by above given formula. EFFECT: higher production and economic efficiencies and fire-extinguishing effectiveness with simultaneous simplified manufacture, transportation and use of foam generators and fire-extinguishing systems. 23 cl, 34 dwg
