FIELD: theoretical and applied materials technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed approach to optimization of operational properties of hard material includes execution of technological procedures to change operational properties of material. Technological procedures directed at change of density are conducted. In the course of technological procedures density is controlled and process is carried out till value of density achieves interval of 1.5-5.0 g/cu cm. In this case specific thermal capacity is controlled and process is conducted till value of thermal capacity in interval between 0.4 to 1.2 J/Gk is achieved. As result there appears possibility of optimization of operational properties of hard materials with attainment of their extremely high values characteristic of specific class of hard materials.
