FIELD: corrosion protection. SUBSTANCE: metal corrosion inhibitors are prepared by reusing allyl chloride production waste, containing 30-50% 1,2-dichloropropane, 30- 50% 1,3- dichloropropene, and 3-10% 1,2,3-trichloropropane, by way of primary treatment of this mixture by dimethylamine or diethylamine or diethanollamine at temperature 10 to 100 C (depending on secondary amine structure) and amine-to- 1,3-dichloropropene molar ratio 1: 1.1, followed by treatment of reaction mixture by 25-45% aqueous NaOH at its molar ratio to amine 1:1, separation of organic phase and adding 1,2,3-trichlorodecane and tetrachlorodecane at molar ratio to tertiary amines 1: 1.05, stirring resulting mixture at 90-100 C, and dissolving thus formed quaternary ammonium salts in water to give 50-60% aqueous solution.
