FIELD: electrode wire production. SUBSTANCE: wire includes outer layer of low-carbon steel and flux core containing next ingredients (mass%): molybdenum - (1-10); tungsten - (1-10); graphite - (1-10); nickel - (1-7); vanadium - (2-10); chrome - (20-40); sodium silicofluoride - (5-15); niobite - (1-10); boron - (10-25); quartz - (2-10), rare earth metals - (1-8). Ingredients of flux core are crushed to powder, accurately agitated and placed onto steel strip with thickness 0.25-0.6 mm. Steel strip is drawn to wire in extrusion press and then it is subjected to finish drawing in drawing bench in order to make wear-resistant high-hardness electrode wire with flux core. It is possible to use such electrode wire for welding cold-rolling rolls with hardness 62-65. EFFECT: prevention of cracking at repairing and welding rolls for cold rolling. 7 cl
