FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to arc deposition of wear-resistant alloys, particularly, to composition of powder wire used for increasing durability of parts operated at higher loads and temperatures, for example, hot deformation press tools. Proposed powder wire consists of low-carbon steel shell made from Armco-iron and powder mix. Powder wire comprises nickel, molybdenum, cobalt, vanadium, titanium, aluminium, silicon, boron carbide, titanium diboride, zirconium diboride, sodium fluorosilicate, iron powder, and steel shell. For production of powder wire used are both pure metal powders and ferroalloy powders. Mix composition is varied subject to method of deposition that may be effected either in argon or by fluoride sealing.
EFFECT: deposited metal with secondary hardening effect after ageing, higher heat and wear resistance.
