FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed electromechanical steering booster has housing accommodating two coaxial shafts, 2 and 3, electric motor consisting of magnetic circuit of stator 6 with three-phase winding and magnetic circuit of rotor 5, torque generator made in form of torsion bar 7 and torsion angle meter, rotor position pickup of electric motor 4 and electric motor control unit. Magnetic circuit of rotor 5 is arranged on output shaft of steering booster. Magnetic circuit of stator 6 is built into steering booster housing and is provided with salient poles on which winding is mounted. Winding consists of coils arranged in six equal alternating phase zones, one coil per pole. Several coils connected in series for aiding and belonging to one phase are arranged in each phase zone. Rotor of electric motor is multipole, with permanent magnet excitation. Numbers of stator and rotor poles differ by two. Magnetic circuit of stator serves as housing of steering booster. Torsion bar of torque generator can be arranged either inside hollow output shaft, or inside hollow input shaft. EFFECT: simplified design, provision of reliable operation. 4 cl, 3 dwg
