FIELD: nonlinear optics; laser systems. SUBSTANCE: method involves use of N pumping beams in forced dissipation of spatially heterogeneous pumping including sequential amplification of Stokes signal in N amplifying stages. Only one pumping beam is passed to each amplifying stage and Stokes- radiation gain increment correlated with pumping not in excess of pumping-correlated threshold gain increment of noise Stokes radiation is ensured. EFFECT: enhanced gain of external signal without pumping- radiation correlated noise radiation. 1 dwg
